Easter Bunny Came Early!!

This year we are heading up to NC to spend Easter with Wes' family. So, Mr. Easter Bunny (aka Gramme) surprised Malia with a Minnie Mouse Easter basket which had Sponge Bob PJ's inside. She was so excited, she started jumping up and down and yelled"Minnie...Minnie". To say she is fond of Minnie Mouse would be an understatement. So having a Minnie Mouse birthday party is a must this year!

I think she thought it was an over-sized house slipper. :)

Malia is going to be so excited to figure out that she gets to have two Easter Egg Hunts. One up in NC with Nana and Poppy, and when we get back home she gets to have another with Gramme and Paw Paw. To all of our family and friends that live away, we miss you all and hope you all have a wonderful Easter. Let's all remember why we celebrate Easter in the first place. I will post an entry on our fun-filled weekend upon our return.

Malia doesn't know this yet, but we have tickets to go see the Disney Live! Rockin' Road Show with Mickey Mouse and friends. She is going to be ecstatic!!

Who Knew Parks Could Be So Much Fun!

Last weekend, the weather was somewhat nice...so we decided to take full advantage. We went to Wannamaker Park, which is just five minutes from our house. We only had to pay $2...it was every bit worth it. We spend probably two hours there. Malia had an absolute blast! At first, I was the crazy mom that stayed withing ten feet of her daughter. Then I realized that I needed to back off and as long as I could see her and she wasn't too far away, everything would be okay. It was funny in that Malia would walk away from us, but then stop and look back just to make sure she could still see us. It was a learning experience, but one that needed to happen. I have a feeling we will be living at this park this Spring and Summer.
