Just enjoying life!

All of us have been pretty busy since Easter. We just celebrated Wes's birthday this past weekend. On Friday night we had small group, Saturday I surprised him and had our good friends show up in the morning with their boat and we went fishing on the Reservoir (Thanks again David & Rebekah!). We were out on the water for five hours and only caught one fish, guess who caught it...the birthday boy! Even though we only caught one fish we had a blast. You wouldn't believe the wildlife we saw; Bald Eagle, Alligators, and even a Bobcat just to name a few. On Sunday, we went to church and then I surprised Wes and him and I went golfing. All in all it was a fantastic weekend. Happy Birthday honey!!!

As for Malia, we are getting the ball rolling on her 1st birthday party. Who knew it could be so much fun to plan a birthday party for a baby. She is doing awesome. She is all over the place. She is climbing the stairs, cruising around the furniture, walking as long as she can hold your finger. She so could walk on her own if she would just do it. Matter of fact, she takes a few steps all by herself, the most she has taken is five. It won't be long!!

Here are just a few recent pictures of sweet Malia.

Sound asleep on our bed.

Daddy decided to make a hat out of a clean diaper. She didn't understand why mommy & daddy couldn't stop laughing. I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants.

Here is a close up. lol

Our little girl is growing up too fast!

PS Easter weekend we went to the beach and took some family portraits. Keep an eye out for that blog entry. The pictures turned out amazing!! Thanks again Matt & Jenna.

Happy Easter Everyone!

What a fun Easter weekend we had. On Thursday Wes's entire family came in town for the weekend. On Friday us girls, kiddos, and Richard went downtown to explore. We went through the market and walked around the battery, while the other boys went and played 36 holes of golf. Saturday, we saw "The Thorn", which was our Easter production at church. Awesome! Later that night went all went to Sullivan's Island and had family pictures taken by Matt & Jenna Daniel. They did a fabulous job! We can't wait to see the outcome and to share them with you all. After a long day we decided to stay in and cookout, we ate like kings & queens. We had filet mignon with delicious crab legs. Yum! Thanks honey!! And thank you Grandpa Norm and Gramme for joining us. Today we woke up and brought the girls downstairs to see what the Easter bunny had brought them. Next, we had an Easter egg hunt for Miss Ella Drew. After that we went to church and ended our weekend with lunch at Wild Wings Cafe.
What an awesome weekend!

Here are a few of my favorites from this weekend. However, if you would like to see more pictures click HERE.

What a Fun Day!

Yesterday was a girls day! Gramme and I took Malia to the Dentist, then out to eat at our favorite place Chic-Fil-A, and then went down town to the SC Aquarium. Boy did we have fun! Malia was a perfect patient at the Dentist office and got a good report. When we were out for lunch she made a new friend, check out the picture below. At the Aquarium, she loved watching the fishes swim, loved the turtles, and even touched a snake! She is quite adventurous and has no fear.

Here are some pictures of our girls day!

A Tribute to Uncle Dave, my (Guitar) Hero!

Hi Uncle Dave, Dada has been helping me with Guitar Hero. I got 5 stars on the Joker, Sweet Child of Mine, and almost all of the new Metallica Guitar Hero on Easy. Dada says I need to move on to Medium, but that is too hard still. I am having a blast rockin' out, but I am having trouble hitting the notes that come in pairs, because I like to just use my index finger. Dada says don't feel bad...he knows people who just type with one finger, too. I haven't learned the scissor-kick yet...I have to learn to walk first. Anyhow, I can't wait to show you what I can do. Dada thinks I might even be able to beat you...but I hear that you are a Rock Star. Anyway, I think I can at least beat Aunt Iris. I can't wait to see you and hope you come back to visit me soon.

P.S.- What's a "slacker", Uncle Dave? Mommy says that's what you are because you never call her. Love you!

Here are some photos of me rockin' out

This is Awesome!

Dada, this isn't so hard.
