When she wears them to bed, the next morning she throws a fit if I try to change her in to day clothes....therefore she usually wears them the entire next day. :)

Our Valentine's Day gift from Malia.


We are having a great time...just wish Spring would get here. All Malia wants to do is go outside. Looking forward to heading to NC over Easter to visit, haven't seen Wes's family since Thanksgiving. Already starting to brain storm about her 2nd birthday party...can not believe it is only three months away. Crazy!!

Ahhh...We have nice weather!

This Winter season seems like it has lasted a lot longer than it ever has in the past. We and especially Malia are starting to get stir-crazy! Finally, this weekend the sun was shinning and the temperature was high enough that we were able to get outside and enjoy it. We went down the street to an Elementary school and let Malia just run rampid. She had a ball and so did we!

We hope the weather starts getting nice, after all we do live in Charleston! :) We are ready to make the park a weekend routine for us.

Hooray for SNOW!!

Wow, what an exciting day for those of us living in Charleston South Carolina. Since I left Missouri, I really never thought I would see snow again and was a little sad that Malia's chances were slim. Well, God is good! It snowed this evening and Malia was able to go out and play in it. We really were not prepared for this type of weather, so we made do. I was just happy she kept her hat on. :) She ran around and danced, but was a little hesitant on walking on the grass. What a fun way to spend our evening. It has been over 10 years since it has snowed in Charleston.

Turning Over a New Leaf

I have been 30 for a month now, I am not sure if I am just lucky or if I have a different outlook on things. However, being 30 years old has in many ways changed me. I feel more empowered, settled, content, and happy. When I reflect back on my 20's, I recall all of the years I was trying to find myself, establish a career, find a mate, start a family, and figure out who my friends were and how I fit in. Now I can answer all of those questions. Perhaps, it has nothing to do with turning 30 and has everything to do with trusting God and putting my faith in Him. Don't get me wrong, my life is not perfect and I do have bad days just like the rest of the world. However, I wake up each morning telling myself it is going to be a good day. I don't sweat the small or petty stuff and I ask God for help with the big stuff. As I continue my adventure in my 30's, I pray that God protects my family and that we continue to live for Him.
