Baby Girl's 1st Christmas

What fun we had this Christmas. We actually celebrated four different times. First we opened gifts from Pa Paw Lee and Grandma Lee, then celebrated with Gramme, next came time for Uncle Dave and Iris, and lastly we celebrated with Nana and Poppy in North Carolina. We all got a lot of awesome gifts. Malia is definitely set until her birthday on gifts. Since we had so many celebrations I decided to put our pictures in a slide show.

As you can see in the slide show we had a lot of fun. However, we are sadly to report that Malia got her very first cold. She has been very healthy thus far, but we all knew it was only a matter of time. The day after Christmas she started to show symptoms...fever, runny nose, and coughing. Needless to say, she only feels worse and worse, poor little angel. Good news is that I am off from work so I can nurse her back to health. Of course I called the doctor and found out what I already suspected...there is nothing we can do besides allowing the virus to run its course. We are blessed in that for the most part she is still her happy go lucky self. So it looks like we will be staying in for New Years this year. Please say some prayers that she will start to feel better and that this ugly cold would go away.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Rockin' Out in Our PJ's

So my brother got Wes and I hooked on Guitar Hero last Christmas in Texas. This year Wes put it on his Christmas wish list. My awesome brother and girlfriend surprised us and gave Wes Guitar Hero World Tour. This means that we now can play against people in a head to head competition. Awesome!! This is all we did on Christmas break in NC. We got everyone to play, even Nana & Poppy.

Check us out in action...

Malia at 6 Months

Malia at 6 Months

Wow, a lot has been going on since Malia turned 6 months old. Her 6 month appointment went very well, stats are written below. We learned that it was time for her to venture into the world of baby food. We knew the doctor would have us start her on rice cereal, but we were overwhelmed when she told us to start baby veggies and fruit, finger food puffs, and even start introducing the sippy cup. Holy cow, where to begin? After sitting down with my good friend Traci and having a written menu, I think I am ready to start introducing baby food. What would I do with out my family and friends. :)

She has been a busy 6 month old...
New things she can do this month
- Rolls from tummy to back & from back to tummy
- Sitting up by herself (she tips over every once in awhile)
- Holds her bottle by herself (until she doesn't feel like doing it any more)
- Eating rice cereal like a champ
- Introduced to squash, wasn't a big fan at all. (pictures to follow)
- Introduced to peas and absolutely loves them.

Stats from the 6-month checkup
- Height 28 inches (97 percentile) She just might be my little volleyball player. :)
- Weight 17 lbs 13 oz (75 percentile)
*She is one healthy baby girl, thank you God.

Loving her rice cereal

Eating like a Koch

Not liking the squash at all

I tried to sneak in squash with her rice cereal...she didn't fall for it.

Holding her bottle by herself

As you can see she has been pretty busy and she just turned 6 months on December 12th. Her daddy and I think she will be crawling in just a week. She gets her knees under her but then doesn't know what to do after that. Personally, we hope she won't start crawling yet, it's nice to put her down and not have to worry or chase her around the house. However, I think it's time for us to baby proof the house because it's just a matter of time.

We will keep you posted! Happy New Year.
Love, Wes & Jaime

Hi everyone! Here are some pictures from this weekend, plus a new one of Malia as a 6-month old. Wow! It's hard to believe she is already 6-months old. Christmas is just around the corner, we are very excited and can't wait to see what she does with her presents.
Hope you all are doing well. We miss you all!

1st Time with Santa

Christmas time with a little one, who knew it would be so much fun! Yesterday, we took Malia to see Santa for the 1st time. She was really good and so darn cute! Check out the pictures below.

She is so darn adorable, of course I am a little biased.

We are warming her up to the real Santa. Oh no, she didn't really like this Santa.

She was so excited to see Santa, she wore herself out and had to take a nap.

It's almost Santa time

She just saw Santa walk up, hurray!

She did great! Her 1st time on Santa's lap, so precious.
