Munk-a-loo!!

Below is a short video of Malia busting a move on IOP Beach. Ignore the guy in the blue shorts dancing...Daddy just can't help himself, that must be where Malia gets it from. :)

When Malia was born, it was obvious by her hands and feet that her nickname would be "Munkey". However, we never knew if it would stick or not....well I can assure you that she is now fulfilling her "Munk-a-loo" name. Wow!! She is constantly climbing on everything, she is definitely our little Munkey....

And no, we didn't put her in the basket.


Yes she climbed in this herself and grabbed the book.

Some Afternoon Yard Work...ugh!

I have been putting it off for days now, so I gave in and did some much needed yard work this afternoon. Malia was kind of a help, if you want all of your precious good looking flowers to be pulled up like they are weeds. :) Gotta give her credit for trying....to her defense she just saw mommy pulling limbs/flowers so she was just trying to help. I guess it's not really realistic to expect a 1 year old to know the difference between something dead and alive. :)
Nonetheless we had fun!

A Day in the Life of a 1 Year Old

Summer Time Fun!!

Malia and I are having so much fun this summer. One of my favorite things about Malia is each day is totally different and she keeps me laughing all day long. Our days are all different but some of the things we enjoy are; playing on the deck with her water station, playing with her Dora car, meeting daddy for lunch at our favorite Chick-Fil-A, shopping at Wal-Mart, cleaning the house, splashing in the water at the water park, or just walking around the local shopping mall. Below are some snap shots of what we have been up to.

Her nickname Munkey, was right on. She loves to climb on everything!

Even when she goes boom...she laughs and gets right back up. Fearless!

We are gearing up for the 4th of July weekend. Last year she was only three weeks old, it will be interesting to see what she does and thinks this 4th of July.
