A White Christmas ~ 2010

As I am writing this blog, I am puzzled that Christmas 2010 is already over! To think in a few days we will be ringing in 2011...where did this year go? What a wonderful year we have had. We are so grateful and blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. We couldn't be happier! Celebrating Christmas this year was a ton of fun and we got to see a lot of people. Our first celebration involved Uncle Dave and Iris, they flew in from Texas. It was so nice to spend a long week with them...we miss them dearly!! The day following their departure, we packed up the car and headed for North Carolina to celebrate Christmas with my In-laws. Malia had a blast playing with Ella and Maya. We were lucky enough to get a 'white' Christmas in NC this year. I haven't seen snow like this in many years and forgot how amazing it is. The kids and us adults had a blast playing in the snow. Christmas is not over for us yet, in that we get to celebrate it again in a week when Gramme gets back home. So for now, click on the picture below and enjoy looking at the entire album. A White Christmas 2010

Before I go, I wanted to share a book with you that is a MUST read..."Sun Stand Still" by Steven Furtick. I couldn't put it down and was blown away at how powerful it truly is. If you are looking to make some positive changes or just need your spiritual side back on fire, trust me this is the book for you!! I am super excited to see what 2011 has in store for me and my family, and I know this book is going to help along the process.

Our Sweet Baby Girl...Carter Anderson!!

What an exciting day we have had! Our OB appointment was bright and early, we couldn't wait another minute to discover whether we would be adding another precious girl to our family or a sweet boy. It didn't take long at all to discover "Baby Peanut" is a GIRL!! As we were watching the screen, we were holding hands tightly just so anxious to find out. As soon as she announced girl, I looked over at Wes and he had tears of joy rolling down his face. He is so emotional, but that is what I love about him. These two girls are totally going to have him wrapped around their little fingers. Our ultrasound was amazing!! The lady was so slow and descriptive. She pointed out everything and truly made this experience one we won't forget. As we were watching Carter on the screen, it was evident she is all about her hands. Which is funny, because Malia was all about her feet when she was in the womb. I think we will need to have many paci's on hand, because her hands hardly ever left her mouth. One thing we noticed, she is very strong-willed just like her bigger sister. The ultrasound lady was trying to get her to move to capture pictures of her heart and other organs, and she wouldn't budge. Finally, on her own time...she rolled over and allowed us to get those images. We are super excited to meet sweet Carter in a few months. Below are some precious ultrasound pictures. Those sweet little hands!!


Her head is in the bottom left of the screen facing upwards. Her arm is bent with her hand over her face, as if she were telling us no more...let me sleep. ;)

Yet again, arm up around her face. For most of the ultrasound she was upright and was sitting on her feet. So we didn't get any clear feet pictures. Perhaps, she will have her mama's feet and not daddy's flinestone feet. ;)

We were laughing so hard when this image popped up. It was as if she were telling us "I am okay in here mommy and daddy". This picture is one of my favorites and warms my heart. It will make the scrapbook for sure!

Well we are at the half way point, she is due April 21st. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she continues to grow over the next four months. Now it is time to start thinking about the 'new' nursery. Let the fun begin!!
